error: pdp_spigot: no method for 'gem_state'

i keep getting this error when using my patch can anyone explain what it means please?

gem_state is the render chain for GEM. Spigot probably only passes messages common to the control domain of pd. To turn off a render chain entirely, pass a 0 to the gemhead.

pdp_spigot is only for pdp streams, afaik - you're sending Gem data to PDP, which is probably not what you want - either use spigot from Pd, or maybe you want the gem2pdp bridge.
