i'm really got stucked...i know it should be something easy, but i just can;f figure out...

once i bang the msg, it will play the notes in the " message box" in the metro (tempo) of 160, and i want the next message bang to be 100ms later. How should i do that?? i'm stucked...

It doesn't play because you need a counter.

The metro sends out bangs every 160ms (repeatedly)

To have the oscillator play the values stored in the table, it needs a counter to index them.

Then the counter must be limited to count 0, 1, 2, 3, 0 , 1, 2, 3... for this [mod 4] does the job

Next use these numbers to read the value from the table, and send them to the oscillator.

Message that writes the table does not need to be connected.

Array is changed to show "points" - much easier to read a musical sequence

thanks...but..this is not I wanted...sorry if i didn't make it clear...

basically what I wanted was
e.g.

notes A pause 160ms; (duration of notes = 100ms)
notes B pause 160ms; (duration of notes = 100ms)
notes C pause 160ms; (duration of notes = 100ms)
notes D pause 2000ms; (duration of notes = 150ms)

then it will loop and loop again.....

i got something like this..but i'm not sure how to set the duration.....any ideas?

To have a duration shorter than the note length you need an amplitude control. A simple gate envelope that shuts off the volume will do. See attched.

Each note is stored as a list of two elements, note and duration. When unpacked one is sent to the oscillator, one is sent to the envelope to determine the duration.

For a few notes the delay based method you use is okay, but to get bigger sequences you need to think about how to store the data.

You can store two values for each note, a pitch and a duration. You can either store these as two consecutive array values [{note1, dur1},{note2, dur2},{note3, dur3}...] and read two values at a time. Or you can use two arrays, one which stores note numbers and one which stores timing data.

Or, as a third option, you can make a list sequencer and not use arrays at all.
