I am a novice with Pure Data and I need some help. I'm going to simplify my problem.
I have 5 sounds, each one must be in an array, and there are going to be played when I do some action.

And I really don't know how to do this.
My first problem is how to put the sound in the array?
And then how to play it?

for loading sounds to arrays, you need [soundfiler] (maybe [soundfiler~]?, I'm away from my puter). than to play them, you need tabplay~. right clicking them and getting 'help' should tell you how to work them! Hope this helps!

I use [soundfiler] but I don't really know how it works. I have done this :

[read sons/type.wav array1] (message)

[soundfiler]

Does it seems right?

At this point I guess the sound is in the array but now I want to listen to this sound.
So according to you I have to use tabplay?

Load a file from disk (with a file open dialog) into an array called array1:

[bang(
|
[openpanel]
|
[read -resize $1 array1(
|
[soundfiler]

[soundfiler] has an output which will give the length of the file in samples.
To play the sample there are a couple of objects. However, [tabplay~] is the easiest to start with. There are a number of messages you can send to it. But just sending a bang will play the array completely:

[bang(
|
[tabplay~ array1]
|\
[dac~]

So, the first part works! Can I put the sound in the array but not by the way of a file open dialog?

For the second part, when I click on Bang I don't heard anything...

replace the $1 in the message with the filename of the sound you want (including full path)

[read - resize action1.wav array1(

Make sure audio is switched on (Media->Audio ON) when trying to play back the sound

Make sure compute audio is turned on, and that you actually have an array set up to store the sound in.

audio is switched on, but yes I would like ti verify that the sound is really in the array, so I would like to get what is in the array but how to do this?

I have try to save the sound which is in the array, to see if it is really in it.
So i did this with write and then I can put the sound on my computer.

I obtain a sound of 2 seconds but no sounds

somewhere in your patch, you will need to include the object
