Hi,

im looking for a solution to record my vj sessions (with music) using [pdp_qt]. Some could think in [pdp_rec~], but when i seek the movie, the final time of the recorded video becomes variable.

I used the [pdp_rawout~] help patch but the final video is green-noisy.

Anyone who tells me how to use [pdp_rawout~]?

Anyone who give me a solution to record my vj sessions?

I have had success recording PD video with FRAPS. The patch grabbed outside sound and visualized it. FRAPS did a good job of grabbing the Video form the GEM window and the external sound source. You might try the free version as a test first.
There are also other similar programs that might also work.
a quick search brought up these opensource options

Linux
glc - looks promising (though I haven't used it)
yukon - this one doesn't capture sound

Windows
Taksi - also lacks sound capture (though rumor is, its on the way)

I don't know what OS you are using but these might be worth looking into.

how about veejay for linux? it can connect to pd via sendVims and records both video and sound.?. i never tryed myself but i know it works.

Thanks, agent4068. I have seen FRAPS is a screen video capture tool. I didnt' use FRAPS, but Xvidcap works for me perfect (at least recording the formats and sound I need).

The problem with the screen video capture applications is the cpu usage. With the object i mentioned in my first post, the cpu usage would be near 0.
