hi,
i am the new user of ubuntu.

i downloaded Pd-0.39.3-extended.deb,but when i tried to run it.
it said "Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libjack0.100.0-0"

can anybody tell me how to sort out this problem? thanks a lot!

This error means, "libjack0.100.0-0" is not intsalled in your system.
Go to System>Administration>Synaptic Package Manager
(give the password)
Then ,with Ctrl-F ,you will see a pop-up asking you what do you want to find.
Type libjack .When results appear in the main window, tick at the packages you want.

With Synaptic Package Manager you can search or browse programms, libs etc you haven't installed yet or everything is needed because of dependencies. Use it!

apt-get install (application's name) does all these automatically ,and that's why you hadn't seen this error yet.
