This may seem like a basic question, but is there a was of randomising a metro signal. So the metro time is random every time.

How about this?

This way you can switch it off. If you want to get fancy you can add some math between the [random 1000] and the metro to tweak the range and lowest value.

however I have no need to switch it off when it is working. it part of an installation that requires it to work constantly. Thanks tho.

The patch looks to do just the job you want. You triggering noteouts to Reason? What's the sound world?
(Noticed that the release in makenote is very short) Deliberate?

Yes the initial release is deliberatly short so the user/audience can make the connection between their action and the sounds made. However each contact with the trigger pad triggers 4 (or more) individual notes. After the first imidiate note, 3 more play all at different pitches with different random relays. This was all an attempt to make it more musical rather tan just a concept.

At the moment I think the sound world is going to be prepared piano or tuned percussion. Sounds that are recognizable and accessable anyway.
