I'm having trouble getting a midi input, specifically from a Teensy 3.2. I'm using a mac computer and the computer is recognizing the input but PD isn't giving me the option to select any input as I think it isn't recognizing it. How can I get PD to see my midi input?

I'm not a Mac user, but I have reason to believe that you'll have to use a midi routing tool (sound and midi settings?) to patch the midi stream to PD. Then pd will accept the midi data through [notein] & [ctlin] and their family.

@kjoseph I'm not sure, but it's possible that if you open the "Audio MIDI Setup" application, and in the menu click Window > Show MIDI Studio, your midi device is recognised (aka, it shows up) but is not active. If you see your device here, double click on it, and then tick the "Device is online" toggle. Once the device is online, you should be able to select it as your MIDI input/output device in Pd.
