Hi everyone. I've been using pd-extended for quite a while now and I'd consider myself a fairly proficient mac user. However, there is one thing I can't seem to figure out:
At one point and for what seemed like no particular reason, PD-extended just stopped opening on my system (MacBook Pro early 2011, 13", El Capitan), it would just bounce in the dock for hours and days without opening any windows. I had to manually find and trash a bunch of .plist files, library folders and such for it to work properly after several reinstalls.
Now, ever since I reinstalled it (0.43.4-extended), it can't seem to find certain objects, like [cup] for example. That one used to work fine before, without me installing anything besides the PD-extended app. I tried reinstalling it a few more times, to no effect.
Any idea?
Thank you guys!

Missing libraries

I haven't used Mac in a while, so sorry I can't be more specific, but it sounds like one of the .plist files you deleted was the one that had the default startup libraries the Pd-extended loads. Do you see libraries listed in the Startup... dialog?

Thank you so much for your reply. Actually, the folders ~/Library/Pd and Library/Pd didn't even exist anymore. Re-creating these and hitting "Restore Defaults" in the Startup dialog that you mentioned did the trick. Thank you, much appreciated!
