- Hi, I had been using Pd-extended for some time and decided to upgrade my computer. I'm now running the new Ubuntu operating system but have no idea how to get all of my old patches up and running again. Can anyone be begged to explain this to me? I have a performance in a week and really need this to work. (!agh!)
Thank you!

Pd-extended 0.43.1 transfer to Ubuntu 16.04

Hi, welcome to this forum,
Did you consider installing Pd-l2Ork instead of Pd-extended? Extended hasn't been updated in years, and l2Ork has most of the objects from the former (besides huge improvements in the UI). They have a debian package for Ubuntu 16.04 (though I didn't try it myself, I am on Mint 17.3). Open the page http://l2ork.music.vt.edu/main/make-your-own-l2ork/software/ and scroll down to Download Pd-L2Ork > Complete (a.k.a. ‘Burrito Supreme’) Installer > 64-bit deb (Ubuntu 16.04) (v.20160614).
L2Ork should be able to open your old patches, particularly if you were using only the default objects from extended.
Cheers,
Gilberto
