Comport on Windows 10

I just updated my windows to windows 10, and now comport is not working -- it's giving me rxerror (997). I want to connect an arduino to my patch, and the arduino is sending a stream of ints. Is there an alternative to comport I can use, or any other solution other than go back to Windows 8.1?

Did you make sure that you still have the necessary drivers installed?

@TerraByteTech i don't think it is a driver problem in this case, someone reported a bug in pd / comport / windows 10.

It's been reported on the list too, [comport] doesn't work o Windows 10... Maybe use another application and send the values over UDP. Maybe collect the Arduino data with Python and send it over to Pd,receiving it with [netreceive]...

I cannot speak for vanilla PD, but [comport] works for me under Windows 10, with Purr Data. Sorry not to have more detailed advice. I should add that this particular machine is running a non-updated version of Windows 10 (i.e. bought about 18 months ago), and it works both with official and clone (ch340g) Arduino boards.
