this really does open up a slew of possibilities that current web plugins, like flash, are incapable of. flash is good for animations and some things (see <a href="http://bit-101.com" rel="nofollow">bit-101.com</a>), but according to my flash-savvy roommate, it's not good for (interactive) audio at all.<br />

Pd is a way to run arbitary code and the plugin is an interface to allow a remote host to run arbitary code on your machine. If you don't trust who you're connecting to all bets are off. The same goes for net-pd. You can thwart the obvious attacks by removing your [shell] object <img class="emoji emoji-extended" src="http://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji-extended/images/wink.png" title=";)" alt=";)" /> However, within a limited community I wouldn't worry about it too much, or use pure:dyne to do your network related Pd stuff. Incidentaly - that's why I almost never run JavaScript.</p>

me and my roommate are going to start playing with this, see if we can't make a flash to control a pd patch running in the background via this plugin... then people could just go to a page and play with your patch! this really opens up a whole new world of interactive web media...<br />
