I am trying to gget TouchOSC working with pd-extended but i keep getting this error every time i load my simple-midi.pd file.

Does it work? If the patch works, don't worry too much about it. OSCx is deprecated because it is unsupported and doesn't work as well as the mrpeach objects. But with Pd, backwards compatibility is kind of a big deal, so deprecated objects will probably still be there for a while. And that's definitely a new error (I've never seen it).

But if you do want to switch, or if you plan on making new patches with OSC, you can add mrpeach to Preferences->Startup... and the objects will be available then. Take a look at their helpfiles to see how easy it would be to modify the patch for them. I think [OSCroute] to [routeOSC] might be as simple as "find and replace" in a text editor, but I don't know about [dumpOSC]. I actually can't seem to get that object to instantiate on my machine.

No it does not work. Also, sorry if im being stupid but after i go to startup> new do i add the file path of the mrpeach folder?

Nope. Just type in "mrpeach" (without quotes). Then restart Pd-extended and the objects should be available.

Any update on how you're getting on thebozenator?
I'm in the same boat - have swapped the depreciated OSCx objects for the mrpeach ones and updated extended to the latest build for debian. Still can't connect...

Yeah make sure you're using an available port. The OSC software has to send and receive on different ports. If you were on Mac using OSCulator I could get into specifics but I haven't tried Windows.

To get mrpeach to load a really simple way is to create a [import mrpeach] object and [bang] it a few times, or [loadbang] it. The OSC objects wont work if the something is open using the same port though.

You don't need to [loadbang] or [bang( the [import] object. It will load the library when it is instantiated.

And don't worry about the Windows message. MIDI works fine.

hi, i am having the same exact problem. i am trying to connect my ipod touch with TouchOSC to Traktor Pro so i can run DJ wirelessly. I made some templates with touchOSC editor and used hexler's PD generator to create the PD file from my TouchOSC template. This worked for a little while but after generating about a dozen different templates in TouchOSC and having the OSC to PD converter work its magic, something went wrong and I get the same problem as thebozenator, same error message. i have tried to find the "mrpeaches" files but I am unable to locate them. i have the latest version of PD downloaded but am a total noob when it come to PD. someone, please walk me through what I have to do so I can made this work again. Thanks in advance!

Also I changed [OSCroute]'s to [routeOSC]'s.

So now I'm trying to make those changes on a new PD file so my touchOSC template isn't so cluttered. I have the touchOSC editor make me a PD file which i am trying to edit using Pulsed's PD file as an example but I'm getting this error:

error: unpackOSC: no method for '/accxyz'
