Suppose You have a good PD GEM patch and You want to send the visual output via internet somewhere in the world on a screen (via modems etc) in order to make a sort of "on the air distant video installation/happening"

Does some one has an idea what I should integrate into my PD GEM patch (a message above gemwin???) in order to send the output via my modem into the modem of the receiver and thus into the video projector at the destination (having or having not the PD program)

Thanks for evry idea or solution.....

i don't know how to do that with GEM, but you can use pdp for it (and maybe gem2pdp).
If you are interested to stream your data on a local network you can use pdp_i/pdp_o (try also pdp_netsend/pdp_netreceive, worked better for me). If you want to stream your video to internet you can use pdp_theonice~ through giss.tv servers (they are free, using only free software).
bye
Leopard and XP via PARALLELS (excellently.....)

I am a new bee since november so it will take some time

if ever it would be possible to get a patch with the relevant objects, messages, and all the necessary things I can't imagine have little autonomous experience I would be very glad and offer a bottle of Champain
