I'm working on a patch centred around midi notes from Logic activating sample playback in Pure Data. The samples are played back through a random generation mechanism that takes the MIDI note number and through the use of a select object, outputs a bang when a midi note is played and triggers a sample. The problem I am having with this process is the Notein and strip note objects.

I get a "buffer overflow" message when a MIDI note is inputted and from that point on any further MIDI notes don't register in the number boxes attached to the Notein object. Also a little confused on the outputs of the stripnote object and couldn't find much help online.

This is all before introducing different MIDI channels which was part of my original plan, though when I have tried it only complicates the issue further.

Any advice?
