I'm trying to do onset detection with sigmund~ and bonk~ and I need to get the spectral centroid of a note in order to measure the brightness of a sound.

There is this "color tempurature" in the cooked output of bonk~ that is "sort of the spectral centroid" according to the help file. I looked up in Puckett's article about bonk~ but there isn't much detail about the output of the object. Just wondering if anyone knows how the cooked output works exactly, otherwise I think I might have to read the source code next :<
