I try to use [pgmin] and it appears to only output "1" when I send PROGRAM CHANGES
the program changes I checked with midiox appear to be correct (see picture below)

[ctlin] works fine, so I guess there is bug with [pgmin]

any advice would be appreciated

With an argument?
Are you looking at the left outlet?
If you use [pgmin 1] do you get the correct data?
If you attach a [print] are you actually getting the correct data followed immediately by "1"......?

I have never seen a complaint before so?

but since I made the controller myself with an arduino , could be that I send the wrong data, but they look ok in midiosx

Does a [print] tell you more?

You can filter the "1" easily with a [route 1]
But you will need to catch......
1
1
as a real "1" as well maybe?
This will do it for your incoming data.......... with_1.pd ....
although there must surely be an easier way.
