I know you can run multiple instances in parallel with the unique flag, but can they still communicate? Also, was the Pd~ object ever worked out, or have there been updates to parallel processing?

Aside from that, I was also wondering about the GUI. I read that Purr does utilize multiple cpu cores, but is it still treated as a seperate program? With vanilla, you can SSH between Pd and the GUI running on seperate machines.

Yes, they can communicate the same way you would in Pd Vanilla.

Also, was the Pd~ object ever worked out, or have there been updates to parallel processing?

There's a bug that should be fixed in the next release when using the "-nogui" flag with
[pd~]
. But other than that
[pd~]
should work.

Yes it is.

I suppose you can do that with Purr Data with an SSH
tunnel, but I've never done it.

Also, the file dialogs would run on the GUI machine as I assume they do in Pd Vanilla, too.
