Hi,

I've been trying to modify a patch to make it play a video that comes from an IP camera.
I've tried with different solutions, but at a certain point, I can't move forward.
I've tried to use vlc https://www.mail-archive.com/pd-list@iem.at/msg23352.html
and believe this patch https://github.com/mxa/AudioVideoPatches/blob/master/08b-socket_video.pd
could be a start, but as I said, at a certain point I got stuck.

Does anybody have any experience on this?

@etab Try one of these universal source filters (bottom of download page)...... http://www.webcamxp.com/download.aspx
Seemingly windows only as EXE's and it says you will need C++ and dot-net......

They should present an IP stream as "local" and might work if GEM contains the correct backend.

Thanks a lot David and Johnny!
I'll give a try to your suggestions.
The idea is to use a public ip camera, but if it doesn't work, to use an android device as the camera, might be a good solution.
